How all Started

In 2004, the Santa Maria Blues Festival was born on the Island of Santa Maria, in the Azores.

The first dedicated festival to Blues music in the Azores.

Throughout the years that followed, the Festival knew how to grow in a sustained way, and always with a great focus on the quality of the venue, music and the surrounding environment.
